Rulebook pre-orders are now open!
The first retail edition of the Trench Crusade rulebook is coming to stores this November! You can pre-order yours now.
This 320-page, hardback edition comes packed with newly expanded lore that dives more deeply into the world and factions of Trench Crusade than ever before.
It features dozens of new illustrations, including over twenty full-page or double-page pieces from some of wargaming’s most talented artists, and spectacular new cover art by Thomas Elliott! There is also a brand new miniatures section, featuring fantastic model photography and step-by-step painting guides from the pros.
Rules Version
This new book also moves the rules of Trench Crusade to Version 1.1.! This version of the rules has been upgraded based on feedback from players all over the world, and features all previous errata, clarifications, updates and annual rules reviews. This includes all elements from the April rules review.
Here are just a few of the changes you can look forward to:
- Clarified and more consistent rules wordings across the book
- Terrain rules that are more permissive and accessible, and Scenarios that are more standardized and balanced (yet still flavourful)
- Certain rules for Battlekit, Warband Lists, and Campaigns have been refined (and we’ve added a few new Patrons!).
- And more…
The digital rules will be updated to 1.1 this November and will remain, as always, available on our website for free. You can also expect a series of articles on our website in October, explaining the different changes made to the 1.1. rules (including some really exciting ones we haven’t talked about yet!) and what they bring to the game.
Dates and availability
The Trench Crusade rulebook will be coming to stores on November 30th, with pre-orders shipping out on November 20th.
Pre-orders will remain open until September 7th. After that date, you’ll only be able to purchase your book after the street date, and while stocks last. This is because this is our first experience with book printing for retail, and we’re honestly not sure how many to order! As production and logistics for books takes much longer, we want to make sure we order enough, while avoiding wastage. If stock runs out, we will of course order more, but the new stock will take time to arrive.

We’ve been working on this rulebook for the best part of a year, and we’re incredibly proud of the result! Having the physical version of the rulebook available to players everywhere is another very exciting step for us here at Trench Crusade, and we can’t wait for you to see it!
