Crimson Chalice Judge spotlight: Louise Sugden
It’s time to meet our second judge for the Crimson Chalice, the official Trench Crusade painting competition!
Crusaders rejoice, for Louise Sugden has joined our panel of judges.
Louise needs no introduction in the world of tabletop gaming, and has painted some truly spectacular minis! We couldn’t happier to have her with us.
We asked Louise to introduce herself, and to give some advice to Crimson Chalice participants:
“Hello! I’m Louise aka Rogue Hobbies! For as long as I can remember i have worked in and been EXTREMELY active in practically all aspects of Tabletop gaming and even Roleplaying from Warhammer to DnD, LARPING, all sorts of TTRPGS and especially miniature painting!
I currently run my own YouTube channel (Rogue Hobbies) where I explore all the weird and wonderful facets of my many, many nerdy endeavours.
On top of all of this I also own my very own miniature company FULL of gribbly little goblins Called Rascaltown. I love nothing more than traveling around the UK, the internet and the whole world sharing my love for all things bright, colourful and gobliny.
My favourite thing about painting competitions are that they’re the perfect opportunity to really compete against yourself! It gives you a chance to push yourself and try things you may have never done before and at the end of the day you get to display your work proudly in a cabinet amoungst your peers, what could be better!?
For those who are unsure if they wish to enter or not, my advice is to just do it! I always try to enter any painting competition I can with the best miniature I have painted that year, and who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised at the end!”
