Reinforcements have arrived for New Antioch…

The new Trench Crusade boxes are here! New Antioch is sending in reinforcements, in the form of both the legendary Prussian Stosstruppen and elite Sniper Priests. These 2 new boxes are now available for pre-order!

Miniature design by Gabriel Caramelo, Miriam French and Aragorn Marks.
Painted by Loïc Muzy, Martin Grandbarbe, Seb Lavigne.

Sniper Priests

The Sniper Priests of New Antioch are the undisputed masters of long range warfare. Ritually blinding themselves to avoid any chance of doubt, a Sniper Priest aims through faith in the Lord alone, enabling unparalleled accuracy whether they be firing a sniper rifle, heavy automatic weapon, or even a grenade launcher.

The Sniper Priest box is our very first Elite Box for the New Antioch faction!

It contains 2 Sniper Priest miniatures. As is the case with all of our multipart kits, these sprues have been thought out with adaptability in mind: there are 2 different bodies, 5 different heads and 4 different weapon sets, giving you a lot of different combinations to play around with.

The Sniper Priests’ design has been kept fairly neutral, allowing them to be adapted to any New Antioch sub-faction, including the Prussians. As shown by the examples above, the colour scheme and accessories you choose can make all the difference!

Prussian Stosstruppen

Chosen for their controlled aggression and incredible athleticism, the Stosstruppen of Prussia can pull off incredible feats of battlefield teamwork, hurling grenades far across the trenches in perfect rhythm with their lightning-fast close quarter assaults. Though they may come across as belligerent, one would be hard pressed to find a more coordinated fighting force.

The Prussian Stosstruppen box is our first ever Troop box! The Stosstruppen are the core units of the Prussian sub-faction, and you can have a maximum of 8 in your warband. That means if you already have the Prussian Warband box (which contains 3), then the additional 5 contained in this box means you’ll have everything you need.

This multipart kit contains a vast variety of weapons including plenty of grenades, melee weapons such as tank-splitter swords, ranged options like submachine guns, and other equipment that any self-respecting Stosstruppen might bring into the trenches. It also has a variety of different heads and accessories to help you give your models a unique look.

As with our Prussian Warband box, these are both hard plastic kits on sprues. Each one also includes moulded plastic bases with a well for 2x5mm magnets. The assembly guide will be available on our website, as well as via a QR code on the box itself.

What’s next?

It has been a busy start to the year for us at Factory Fortress, and these boxes are arriving a bit later than we would have liked! But after the massive success of the first warband box, we had to make sure that the following minis were just as good, if not better.

A lot of time was spent finding the right template and workflow for these two sprues, as well as all the Elite and Troop boxes that are to come in the future. For our Elite models, we wanted to find the ideal way of giving them an iconic look, while still allowing for a nice degree of customization. For the Troop boxes, we focused on designing a true multipart kit that includes everything you could practically use on a unit, without it becoming overwhelming. We think we’ve hit the target for both of these and we’re super excited to see what you all do with them.

We’ve also been growing our miniature design team, and are hoping to build up to a nice rhythm of releases very soon. So thank you all for your patience as we start to find our footing in the world of plastic miniatures.

As to what comes next, some of you will have noticed the lack of a Prussian Yeomen box in this announcement. Sadly these stoic troops were left in reserve so that we could get the two kits being announced today to where we wanted them to be. Rest assured though, they are still on their way!

We expect to have the Prussian Yeomen box available by the end of May, alongside the next epic step in the Trench Crusade adventure…
