Infiltrators Rules Update

The feedback was overwhelming for the proposed changes to the INFILTRATOR Keyword to cover scenarios in which it wasn’t used. The Forward Positions options found full favour in messages and the survey in comparison to the other ideas floated. Given the positive reception, we are going ahead with that change. An interesting thread that emerged from many of the messages was that it’d be nice if Infiltrators always had the option to deploy using this rule instead of the regular  ‘deep infiltration’ rule. I like this, as it’s clean and simple, so I’d advocate trying it as a house rule and letting us know how you get on. In the meantime, I’ve written the new rule to allow forward position deployment any time the Infiltrator rule can’t be used, whether it’s due to scenario rules, terrain layout/table size or for some other reason like enemy abilities or Battlekit.

Infiltrators Rules Update (Public Beta)

Editor’s note: Thus concludes the article series for our first Rules Review… is what we would say if it were true. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some additional articles on things the rules team managed to work on alongside this established agenda, starting off with a small handful of tweaks and bonus content for players of The Court of the Seven-Headed Serpent next week to tide you over until their full rework in the October Rules Review.
